Fort Lauderdale, Florida

In June 2009 my colleage Stefan took me out for a day trip in his boat, an Intrepid 35 foot fishing boat with twin engines. A good solid boat for going offshore

The ocean was real calm so we could do good speed up the coast to Hillsboro inlet. At Hillsboro we took a short trip into the intracoastal to take a look at Cap's Place that we'll have to visit sometime for a bite and a drink.

Went back down the coast to Hollywood and saw a few schools of flying fish. Amazing how far those little buggers can fly over the waves.

For lunch we headed back in the Fort Lauderdale intracoastal and had a real tasty fish sandwich at Bahia Cabana, modestly called "world's best dockside patio bar & restaurant" at their website but it sure is a nice place.
